SimpleSwap is an instant crypto swap service, running since 2018, that routes across 20+ centralized and decentralized providers. It lists 2,800+ cryptocurrencies on 100+ networks, with fixed and floating rates, no account for most swaps, and iOS/Android apps.

Editorial note

Fees: crypto-to-crypto fees "may start from 0.2%", all-in within the quoted rate. A fixed rate locks for 20 minutes and needs at least one confirmation in that window. Registered users get loyalty discounts of 5% to 20%.

KYC: SimpleSwap may request KYC when a transaction is flagged, and its AML policy says no-KYC applies only to low-risk cases; checks can include liveness, source of funds and source of wealth.

Holds and refunds: its terms allow frozen funds to be held for up to one calendar year, and returning frozen funds costs 1% (minimum $100). Unclaimed refunds incur 5% per month after 90 days. There's no refund for a wrong network, missing memo, expired order or below-minimum deposit.

Where it works: its terms list the United States, the UK, Japan, India and China among restricted regions. The UK FCA has listed "Simple Swap" as an unauthorised firm (not a fraud finding). Watch for lookalike phishing domains.
