Editorial note

Fees: Changelly's fee page states 0.25% of the output amount on floating-rate swaps, plus the network fee. Fixed-rate swaps carry a "dynamic fee" that isn't given as a percentage, so judge those by the final quote.

KYC: its AML/KYC policy says a transaction flagged by risk scoring "will be put on hold" until you provide a government ID; accounts that fail verification can be blacklisted, and there's no fixed deadline for resolving a hold.

Refunds: failed floating-rate swaps are usually refunded in 1 to 7 business days, minus fees, once you confirm a refund address. Reusing a one-time fixed-rate deposit address can take about 20 business days. Deposits from SegWit BTC addresses can only be refunded in BTC.

Where it works: its terms list the United States (including all territories), the UK, Germany, Japan, India and Turkey among restricted countries.

Our take: a long-running, well-known swap service, but its hold-until-ID policy and undisclosed fixed-rate fee keep it at grade C. Compare with ChangeNOW, FixedFloat or an aggregator before sending.
